Share your last dream

I was walking up a very long flight of stairs with my ex girlfriend.

When I got to the last 2 or 3 steps, I experienced crushing vertigo. I froze and grabbed the steps for dear life! I felt like if I moved I would fall down and die. It was like the steps were not there and it was a slippery slope.

My ex was laughing at me. I experienced it for what seemed like forever and then I woke up.

What was your last dream?

  • That an ex had stolen the remote control for my kindle and stopped me from reading! Yeah, I know kindles don't have remote controls.

The night before that the friend who used to live with us, was filling up the entire house stuff, another fridge freezer that seemed to be full of rolls of pastry, every time I turned round there was more stuff and I was desperately trying to rid of it. I was really glad to wake up from that one.

  • I thought there would be a lot of dream posts! I dream vividly every night.

  • OMG I've had that nightmare!

I couldn't close my mouth as all of my teeth had come loose. I was spitting them out and swallowing them!

  • I like The Walking Dead and 28 Day Later etc. Survial horror TV shows and films.

I get a lot of graphic nightmares due to watching them. I wake up and my sheets are soaking with sweat. I stay awake as I don't want to fall back into where I left off.

I won't post those nightmares, as they're not NSFW. I could share with you in graphic detail, but it might upset members here Slight smile

I've learnt my lesson about posting on autopilot. Remember the rules before posting!

I used to get sleep paralysis, but unfortunately I can't share those dream either.

Some members might find those dreams a really juicy read, but it might trigger anxiety in the vunerable. If I could make a film with the exact content my dreams created, it would blow your mind!

When i watch these shows, I enjoy them and know what I would do better if I was producing/directing it. When I sleep, my brain shuffles those thoughts in order and creates the film I want to make.

I would love to create that zombie film, but I'm too ill now. I struggle day to day with my illness. It's a shame. If I wasn't this sick, in another life I would of made that indie film. The doctors said there is no cure, so I just have to try and manage it.

Back on topic, what was your last dream!

  • I LOVE the idea of interpreting dreams. Obviously 90% of our dreams are just our brains rehashing through random bits of information tucked into our memory, but every so often I believe there’s that 10% where our brain is actually trying to tell us that there is something important going on. Ex. There are a lot of images that can represent stress overwhelming us, such as driving an out-of-control vehicle.

My most recurring nightmare is losing teeth. I believe this ties in with a horrible, internalized fear of change and aging. This happens so often that I’ve actually almost reached lucidity a couple times by losing a tooth, recognizing that only happens in dreams, and then fighting to stay asleep.

  • I have a reoccurring dream that I can fly. I'm weightless and fly around in the sky. Then I forget how to do it and plummet. I wake just before I hit the ground every time.

  • This was some years ago but I still laugh about it. I dreamed I was about to tuck into a Harry Potter-like feast but woke before I ate anything. Mostly I can't remember dreams, just a fleeting impression.
