9/11 remembered - BBC 'Surviving 9/11'

Warning, 'Surviving 9/11' contains highly distressing material & images. 

Watch this moving BBC documentary if you can. These terrible events touched many lives across the globe and across time. These moving testimonies present the best of humanity, when humanity was at its worst. PLEASE, NO POLITICAL /NEGATIVE COMMENTARY.

  • Not wanting to corrupt your new thread on the same subject, I’ll talk about what you said here. 
    You raised a significant point by saying:

    ”I feel it important that those who can will watch. We ought to be thankful that many of us will never face such trauma. In this way, these documentaries can help us reconsider difficulties that, by comparison, can be put into proper scale and context”. (My italics)

    I don’t think that one horrific event can be considered more or less horrific than another, or that scale and context can necessarily make it more or less traumatic for those affected. 

    Depth of suffering cannot be measured.
