Someone just told me that, as someone with Asperger's, I might be eligible for a disability bus pass? I had a look and it does say "There are seven categories of disability under which a person can be entitled to concessionary bus travel. An eligible person is someone who: […] has a learning disability, that is, a state of arrested or incomplete development of mind which includes significant impairment of intelligence and social functioning”. Certainly social functioning issues, but while she (a fellow Aspie, although she claims for a second condition instead) says she believes Asperger's qualifies, I feel a little uncomfortable because from that wording I don't feel my condition is severe enough- I'm basically only interested from a viewpoint of saving money.
On the other hand, if it is true that I'd qualify for this, wondering why no-one I've ever spoken to has mentioned this before???
Has anyone claimed on this for Asperger's?
