There was the phenomenon called the Artic Roll, it was cheap ice cream with a high water content, it was wrapped in a thin layer of sponge, similar to foam, some had a smear of jam. The high water content of the ice cream made it very hard to cut. A Samurai sword would have struggled to cut it.

Fish Paste, where do I start with, what’s wrong with it?

Shippams fish paste, I imagine most of it was scraped off the floor of a fish processing plant, I still can’t really look at it without shuddering.

Pop Tarts, easy way to burn yourself with a molten filling and ruin a toaster. ( student food )

On a Sunday I would be sent to the corner shop, it would have been the only thing open on a Sunday, I would purchase a block of ice cream in a cardboard  covering. This was accompanied by a packet of wafers. I would then cycle home at light speed.

Sunny D.  an orange based type drink that was advertised as being healthy, it was withdrawn and re-engineered after children started to turn orange, little did we know that this would be a desired image in the future.

Heinz sponge pudding was a vital part of my student diet. It served as lunch on a Friday with, of course, a pint of custard made up with Bird's Custard Powder.
