I think this might have been covered before, but .. I found some recipes for toast toppers, which are sadly no longer on sale. The nearest dish is Welsh rarebit but toast toppers have a nice spicy kick.

Have you any favourite retro dish - either stuff you can buy or ones that no longer exist? Does anyone remember Sainsbury's breakfast slices which were a long oblong tasting of bacon?

  • Ben and Jerry's 'Cherry Garcia' ice cream. It seems unavailable in this country except in gallon-sized catering tubs. Any fizzy drink that does not have a huge amount of artificial sweetener in. The 'sugar tax' destroyed fizzy 'pop' for me, I never drank very much, but now almost none, because artificial sweeteners taste vile to me. There are a few expensive brands, like Fentimans, that just absorbed the tax, but they are far and few.
