Im struggling with coming to terms with my new diagnoses. Even though I always knew I had it.

Hi all. Thanks for taking the time to read my post. Ive recently been diagnosed with adhd and autism and i already have eupd.

I havent slept properly the last 2 days. I think its because so many thoughts and feelings are going round in my head. Im so irritable. Im being really impulsive like spending money, wanting to cut all my hair off. Getting a tattoo that brands me so i can take it in that i have neurodivergent condition.

Sounds odd but I literally have changed my everyday bag like 3 times now. Im just not happy or content with anything.

I dont have anyone i can talk to about this diagnoses. I want to be able to talk to my family. But i dont have any family that know me from when I was a child. I told my husbands mother the other day and she just said oh ok.

I feel so unwell tbh. I need to be busy or im gonna lose my mind. Even though im absolutely exhausted cause I havent slept well like I say.

Can anyone else relate or have any advice?

Many thanks

Sam.

  • It's a big thing to take in being diagnosed with adhd and autism.

There is a joke that how to eat an elephant is one bite at a time (sorry if this offends vegans and vegetarians - maybe I should change it to how do you eat a 500 kilo bowl of pasta...).

Anyway - many a true thing is said in jest.

So maybe there are aspects of your diagnosis that you explore seperately - the starting points from  are a good start I think, and/or you could maybe could raise as them as seperate discussion threads
