Anyone else getting bitten by insects?

It's unusual for me to get insect bites in UK, I only used to get them when I went abroad on holiday. It's probably due to such a long hot dry spell. It feels like I'm living in Spain or the Canary islands, rather than the south of England!

I've had to buy bite cream and I've ordered a plug in mosquito killer - hope it works!

  • I don't get insects in the house as I keep the windows closed during the day. But in the garden I'm always being bitten woozy face!  I take piriton to relieve the pain and itching, use jungle-strength insect repellant and bought steroid cream from the pharmacist for topical application. This regime seems to work but doesn't stop insects being attracted to me. With more heat, I'm sure before long there'll be more mozzies, so probably a good idea not to have ponds in the garden.
