A great beginning! I eat meat but this would free my guilt.

Its not just football that gets public money, and this isn't an anti sport post either, there are lots of sports that a tiny amount of funding and many that get none at all. The ones that get money are the ones that win medals and other trophies in international tournaments, how does a sport break through when the playing field is so uneven? Why is sport more important than a youth club, a public park, after all sport can happen in these spaces but they do so much more for so many. Why not support preforming arts and music more? For people of our class and generation your ticket out of poverty was either football or being a rock star, why can't everyone have those opportunities and more?

I say, more power to his Elbow. As much as I like Football, it shouldn't receive Tax Revenue.
