I get a bit freaked out and don't like it

Athletics wear for professional sportswomen, why is it always a vest and knickers? I get that not having a load of fabric floating around is more comfortable and helps you move faster, but are there any track and field sports were women are more covered? Men get to wear longer shorts and tops, except in gymnastics.

It weirds me out and I don't know why, is it partly the sexism of women being uncovered more than their male counterparts? Is it that I find humans with no or few clothes don't look right somehow? I'm not against nudity and nor do I think I'm prudish. I think it's one of those weird autistic things who's roots probably started with something so tiny and inconsequential as to not be noticed, but like a weed, had grown rampantly through my psyche.

  • There are two reasons - the heat generated and aerodynamics. You couldn't run in a tracksuit or long shorts. I'm sure they can wear more or less what they want, except for the advertising. look at Wimbledon. They used to be covered in long skirts, then bloomers then tops got very short. Some of it might be exhibitionism too - after all, they have toned bodies and legs.

    I find that - some things really grab at me and I ruminate for a long time - days, months, years. That funeral director case, for example, I keep thinking of the sentence [too short] and all the people affected. As humans, we have empathy and this just proves autistic people have strong feellings that are not perhaps expressed so publicly, so people assume we do not have deep and sometimes painful feelings. I don't think you are unusual at all!

    Men wear long figure hugging knee length leggings, leotards could be made whole body or just differently designed, we're told that modern fabric technology has done aways with heat and drag being problems.

    Skorts is a horrible word, like many portmanteau words it leaves me trying to work out what it means.
