Stress during burnout

Hello, I've been in burnout for about 7 months now, going between acute phase where can barely function to chronic phase where need to be really careful what I do. Seems to be a cycle of feel bit better, do too much or stressors high and  I go back to the acute phase.

I've noticed that some weird things happen in body when I get particularly stressed about having a difficult conversation with someone, where there might be potential conflict. My mouth/ tongue was burning a lot at these points and i noticed it starting instantly at the anticipation of such conversations. Im terrible with conflict and try to avoid it as much as possible. Anyway I was back snd forward to dentist and he thinks ive got something called burning tongue syndrome, caused by stress. He said its like the nerve endings are misfiring.

Has anyone else had weird things happen in body during high periods of stress during burnout?

  • Not exactly a body thing, but burnout gave me this weird vocal tic when I think of something from the past that embarrasses or shames me, and I either say a certain phrase or repeat out loud all or part of the last phrase I was thinking. It's entirely involuntary and increases stress that I'll might do it when I'm not alone, which would just be another embarrassment to add to the pile!
