Cranberries are sharper in taste than currants or sultanas. But as they are more expensive, this was a treat!
Hi Marianne72,
Those look delicious! I have never tried cranberry scones but that sounds lovely.
Thanks for making us all drool over those.
Yummy

It's a Jamie Oliver recipe [similar one from his book, 'Ministry of Food]. You can substitute cheese for dried fruit, using the same weight of grated cheese. With cheese scones, I spread them with cheese spread also put a sprinkling of grated cheese on top before baking. Yes, I bake breads and cakes I use a bread maker for dough and this book, '100 Bread Recipes Using a Breadmaker'. This book gives all kinds of bread recipes, including naans, pitta, sweet buns, pizza dough etc so is very useful. Happy baking!
Oh these look amazing. I love scones. Can I ask what recipe you used? I make some Mary Berry plain ones and they are quite nice with butter and jam. Do you bake other things?
