Man Caves and Lady Lairs

What do/would you have in it?

I'm reclaiming my garage and will turn it into a lady lair, I will have a comfortable smoking area, where I will also do my crosswords and puzzles. I hope to get a proper skiing machine so that would go there too. I will have a few tools too, including my dads old vice that he "obtained" from an old engineering works, a mitre box and saw for making picture frames along with my clamps, a set of screwdivers, staple gun and maybe a few other bits and bobs. I've always fanicied having a go at upholstery so that could be done in there too.

  • My whole home is my lair.

    If I was sharing my house with another person, I would like a room with a wide working surface for temporarily laying out things, e.g., books, papers, photographs, files etc. A decent working space is a necessity. 

    A desk, an iMac, paper, pens, pencils, notebooks, ruler, tape measure, printer/copier, highlighters, a comfy office chair, bookshelves with my favourite archaeology books and papers. A window with a decent view and a comfy armchair.

    I will have a seperate space for "clean " crafts like sewing so as I don't have to worry about getting sawdust or glue on things.
