Man Caves and Lady Lairs

What do/would you have in it?

I'm reclaiming my garage and will turn it into a lady lair, I will have a comfortable smoking area, where I will also do my crosswords and puzzles. I hope to get a proper skiing machine so that would go there too. I will have a few tools too, including my dads old vice that he "obtained" from an old engineering works, a mitre box and saw for making picture frames along with my clamps, a set of screwdivers, staple gun and maybe a few other bits and bobs. I've always fanicied having a go at upholstery so that could be done in there too.

  • My workshop is my man cave, i keep the main gates locked so I don’t have to interact with anyone. I have an old comfortable armchair, kettle, fridge microwave and sink. The radio is always on in the background and the view from the roller shutter is of open fields.

    One wall is covered in different car dealership signs and memorabilia, some of the signs are illuminated. I enjoy starting small projects, sometimes I will suddenly leave them, but I normally return to them, It can be years later. Sometimes I will just research things, I liken my workshop to Superman’s fortress of solitude. It’s not that I don’t like people, it’s just sometimes I need no interaction with them, it’s the only way I can recharge and not get overwhelmed, it’s my rules.
