Forum issue with emojis

I often find if I try type an emoji for a post, the emoji will be inserted, but the same emoji will be inserted at earlier parts of the text too. I then have to go back and remove them. I don't know what causes it but best guess it is some replacing some combination of letters. It always seems to be at least a space which is replaced.

Android 16
Firefox 150
Keyboard GBoard 17.2.8

I know not many use firefox mobile so don't know if that's the cause, or maybe this just isn't often encountered/reported. This is the only site I've seen it on.

No, you are no longer alone. I find emojis a bit meaningless and distracting and I, too, have never used one. Mind you, I don't have a smarrt phone or a TV!

I haven’t noticed that but I’ve noticed that line breaks have a mind of their own on this site. Sometimes I post something and when I look at it later the layout has changed. The space between sentences where I take a new paragraph sometimes disappears.

Yeah, it does keep cropping up on here, I've not figured out what causes it to replace/insert emojis, it seems quite random.

I've never used an emoji and don't have a smart phone. I find emoji's difficult to read and hard to understand, but I seem to be alone in this.
