Deleting threads

Sometimes I make a thead and want to delete it the next day as I sometimes find them inappropriate.

I go to my 'profile' and 'activity' where there is the option to delete threads. 

I delete them, but find they are still there in the sub forums.

I used to be able to delete threads. Have the mods disabled my ability to do it, or is it the same for everyone else? :)

    I’m glad it’s not just me! Sometimes when I’m feeling down and vulnerable, I make a thread and get the replies I need, but later on, would like the option to delete as I overshared. 

    On Reddit, you can go to profile and delete any thread you’ve made, no matter when you made it.

    It would be nice to have that option here too, as there are very vulnerable people here that I’m sure would like control over their content.

  • You could try emailing the community manager?

    I think you can delete if no one has replied and it's within a certain time frame. 

    You get a chance to edit your post for longer and then remove the content down to a single character.

    After that it's a bit stuck there, but if you email and explain you might be about to get help but I've not tried that (though I've done the other two).

  • Well,  I hope I just deleted one of my threads via this method, thanks for explaining how as I couldn't find out how to do that yesterday.

    edit - You're right, it's (my thread I wanted to delete) still there. Shame.
