Video game recommendations

Once I've completed Grandia II and got the last few things on Doki Doki Literature Club and Stardew Valley, I want to play a new game for the next few months, looking for a more long narrative experience here. These are the ones I'm thinking of, anyone got any strong opinions on these games?

  • Oh yeah, Persona 4 Golden is a long narrative experience lol. I haven’t played all of the Personas, but I’ve gotten a feel for all of them. My advice in choosing between 3, 4, and 5 is go for which one fits the feel you are looking for. 3 is emotional and about finding purpose, 4 is about seizing joy and becoming your true self, and 5 is about justice and achieving your full potential.

Final Fantasy Tactics is great. I’m more used to the mechanics of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, since I grew up with that, but I hear that narratively the original is better.

  • I played P4 years ago on PS2 but never got around to finishing it. I played 3 and I loved 3. Never got around to finishing 5 either. I have a boxed copy of FF Tactics advanced but haven't got around to playing that either. I'm leaning towards P4 Golden now though.

  • I feel like Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced is EASY to play, but that might just be because I have been playing it since I was like 8 years old or something lol. If you ever play it, I recommend spamming white mages. Make every character learn a bit of white magic. It seems particularly good in Advance.

I’m glad you liked 3! Even though I haven’t finished any of them (except Shin Megami Tensei 5, but that doesn’t count lol), I think 3 is my favorite personally.
