Volunteering

went to a local charity shop and asked for a volunteer form - apparently they don't give a form until after a trial basis 

booked in for a trial basis for one hour on Tuesday

I don't know if I'm ready yet to do voluntary work, I just wanted a form so I could see what was what and decide when the right time came

    - Police Volunteers. E.g. vehicle checkers, vehicle cleaners, community speed watch groups, rural mounted teams (aka Horse Patrols).

    - St John's Ambulance 

    - British Red Cross

    - NHS / Ambulance Service - community first responders

    - Fire & Rescue Service. E.g. smoke alarm fitters and testers

    - RNLI / Coastguard. E.g. station staff

    - Citzens Advice. E.g. in person advisors, witness service

    - Street pastors / Homeless outreach groups

    - Food bank staff

    - Litter Picking Groups. E.g. Local councils, Canal and River Trust, Keep Britain Tidy, etc

    - Animal rescue, fostering and care. E.g. RSPCA, RSPB, The Wildlife Trusts, Guide Dogs, Dogs Trust, Cats Protection, etc.

    Dr Scott Miller who has been featured on ITV This Morning and Good Morning Britain, went to Shropshire Cat Rescue to assist the volunteers back in April 2024. You can find it on YouTube titled, "Cutest cat retirement village | Rescue Vet with Dr Scott.
