Not looking forward to extreme heat

It is just about reaching as hot as I can bear, towards the upper 20s. If we get extreme heat for a few days I get through it by thinking that it will be over soon. At the moment next week is predicted to be around 30 all week and often the prediction gets higher as it gets closer.

I like to be outside at least some of each day, but I am not sure there will be much that is bearable. 

I am hoping they have got it wrong and it reduces sooner than Monday week.

    The circles are deceptive in area because the size is to show the population within the city at the centre of the circle. They cover all of Scotland's cities, which (like any city) have numbers of flats and have continually built outwards. It's not so much a matter of climate as the vulnerability of concrete, asphalt and brick vs open green spaces. A massive amount of green space is required to offset the population density - most cities don't have that much green space. 

    However, those dots in Scotland don't change heat colour in the projections, unlike the cities in England.

    I can see what you mean for Portsmouth being an island and you'd think cooler sea air. There was a heat map of it at the bottom of the article, but I think you'd need more local knowledge to understand it.
