Not looking forward to extreme heat

It is just about reaching as hot as I can bear, towards the upper 20s. If we get extreme heat for a few days I get through it by thinking that it will be over soon. At the moment next week is predicted to be around 30 all week and often the prediction gets higher as it gets closer.

I like to be outside at least some of each day, but I am not sure there will be much that is bearable. 

I am hoping they have got it wrong and it reduces sooner than Monday week.

  • We’re fine over here in the Midwest (in fact, my county had a flood warning yesterday), but I’ve been seeing tons of headlines covering the droughts and wildfires in Europe. Like those nuclear power plants in Romania and Hungary not having enough water in the Danube to run properly? Absolutely wild times. I’m sorry y’all are dealing with this kind of extreme weather.

    Thank you for your supportive comment! This is what humanity ought to be about; not warring, arguing or nit picking.  After all, we all originated from the same place.

    There ought to be more we can do in communities, just simple kindness. I love seeing ordinary people donating cooked food for fire workers or leaving flowers for people who've died. This is the best of humanity. Pity poor Professor Arday wasn't given more support, when people around him must have realized how vulnerable he was. I hope something good comes of his sad death.
