Not looking forward to extreme heat

It is just about reaching as hot as I can bear, towards the upper 20s. If we get extreme heat for a few days I get through it by thinking that it will be over soon. At the moment next week is predicted to be around 30 all week and often the prediction gets higher as it gets closer.

I like to be outside at least some of each day, but I am not sure there will be much that is bearable. 

I am hoping they have got it wrong and it reduces sooner than Monday week.

  • It was too hot to sleep last night. I covered myself with a wet sheet and tried reading. The thunder and lightening began around 1:15am. It was in the distance and the rain didn’t come until around 6:30am.

    It’s still too warm in the house now, but it’s getting cooler outside, so I’ve opened all the windows.

    Roll on the weekend!

    The cold air coming in this morning is a welcome relief. I have opened my windows wide to try to cool the air before it gets hot again. Yesterday was the worse day because there was no coolness in the morning.

    I hope you were able to get the temperature of your home reduced this morning.

    There was more thunder and lightening last night but the heatwave is over. It will take until tomorrow for the house to cool, but I should be able to keep the windows on the non sunny side open all day.
