Not looking forward to extreme heat

It is just about reaching as hot as I can bear, towards the upper 20s. If we get extreme heat for a few days I get through it by thinking that it will be over soon. At the moment next week is predicted to be around 30 all week and often the prediction gets higher as it gets closer.

I like to be outside at least some of each day, but I am not sure there will be much that is bearable. 

I am hoping they have got it wrong and it reduces sooner than Monday week.

  • Today was worse than yesterday, went up to 32, still about 30 and humid, no real breeze. Tonight looks to be hotter for quite a while than yesterday. Then two more hot nights. Saturday looks to be just under 30 with maybe some rain. If so I think I will stand in it. Just hoping Sunday is actually a little cooler. I think the worse thing will be the build up of insufficient sleep.

    Trying to get through one day at a time until there is some relief. 

    Have to say though, gone off idea of air con as I heard that France have power cuts due to use of air con causing greater use of electricity. Horrible with fridges and freezers going off. I think I heard that the UK power network asked suppliers to send more power into the grid to prevent this.
