Not looking forward to extreme heat

36.1 (97) today is the official highest temperature ever recorded in the UK in June.

Not too far from where I live.

I spent a couple of hours in car air con today but outside was like a furnace. 

I have spent the day changing head sweat bands as I am a sweaty Betty.

Only tomorrow to suffer then the cooling begins. 

That must be so uncomfortable. It's been a hard day to function on too little sleep and being too hot, and it's still probably 10 degrees cooler than what you are experiencing!

Yep.

It affects you mentally. 

My brain is melting.

When I was in the sun I had palpitations. 

The temperature in the sun must be so much higher.

Our cat has been a source of anxiety as she had a rat in her mouth, let it go and then chased it.

She is now panting.

It is indeed.  I kept putting water in front of her but she will only drink if thirsty.

Yeah, it's hard to think straight in the heat more than just surviving. The direct sun must be baking hot and better to keep out of it if you can, it can put such a strain on the body.

I hope your cat is okay too, it's hard to tell animals not to over exert themselves!
