Not looking forward to extreme heat

It is just about reaching as hot as I can bear, towards the upper 20s. If we get extreme heat for a few days I get through it by thinking that it will be over soon. At the moment next week is predicted to be around 30 all week and often the prediction gets higher as it gets closer.

I like to be outside at least some of each day, but I am not sure there will be much that is bearable. 

I am hoping they have got it wrong and it reduces sooner than Monday week.

    No clouds either. The main problem is even at 9pn it is forecast to be 25-27 so you can't open the windows till late to cool the house down.

    I've been in 45C when I was younger, and I've been to Tokyo where they set the air con to 28 in the summer. But I seem to be finding it harder. I guess I am getting older.

    I think I may have to buy a portable air con if we are going to have this every year now.

    Just hoping it doesn't get any hotter than this. My place of relaxation is to go for walks, but looks unlike any cool enough periods. The hardest thing is being stuck indoors. 

    Air con units might be consideration for future. I think this might be the longest period so high we have had.

    My flat is cool in a morning but when the sun moves around to my side of the building in the afternoon it's flipping hot. That's when I close the curtains and even the kitchen blind comes down a bit.
