A long way back I'm related to Brian Boru, High King of Ireland, I guess if I have to have some royal ancestors then Irish Royalty is better than most/.
I've also found out that I have a rare gene for hair and eye colour, I'm naturally a rich red, coppery brown, not ginger, but red and have hazel eyes and skin that's seriously white, but tans well.
I've just sent off for a DNA test that will tell me my deep ancestry which is exciting, but will probably be boring, I'm trying not to get over excited about it.
The Irish comes from my four times gr grandparents the others are firmly in the upper Thames Valley and have been there for centuries, possibly thousands of years?
