I’m melting

I’m melting. This hot weather is disgusting. Roll on Autumn. Summer solstice is next month…so in less than 4 weeks the nights will start to draw in again. How happy that makes me. What doesn’t make me happy though is that in just over 2 months time (August) the shops will start to bring in Christmas stock. B’ah!

I made a Dundee cake today - but I intend it as a trial for my Christmas cake.. Nothing wrong with looking forward, but a shame to discount a whole season because of heat?

I wish we could go from spring to autumn.

Maybe have 4 months of spring, 4 months of autumn and 4 months of winter.

Or just remove June, July and August from the calendar.
