Hello all - I posted on here in February, to say I’m a fan of one of the UK soaps (which I nicknamed ‘Acorn Antiques’ for here, since it didn’t matter which show it was) and that I’d come up with a fan theory explaining apparent plot holes from episodes in late December/early January.
I was unsure about sharing my thoughts on the Acorn Antiques fan Reddit as nobody seemed to post on there about episodes from a few weeks back and wondered if it would offend against forum etiquette.
But then this weekend someone on the Acorn Reddit made a post titled ‘October 2025’ discussing events in episodes that were on then.
So this morning I posted on there, titled ‘December 2025’, setting out my thoughts.
One poster replied ‘You’ve thought about this more than the actual writers probably did 
’. (Many fans of the show are cynical about the current standard of storylines and scripts.) That was very gratifying - and that comment has had 17 upvotes so far.
Alas, someone else commented ‘Genuine question - why are you still thinking about this?’
I replied explaining that I came up with my ideas in February, but that I wasn’t sure of the etiquette of posting about episodes from a few weeks back until someone posted this weekend about October episodes. But this was the kind of backlash I was afraid of.
