Best place to live in the uk ?

Looking for advice! We are looking to move house - and are doing research into where to move to. So thought I’d ask on here: where do you think is the most lively place to live in the uk? Most beautiful, most friendly, best quality of life etc etc? We don’t want to live in the middle of a big city, but apart from that have an open mind. We love nature so access to nature is a big priority. Would love to hear people’s views on this! Thanks!

  • I live in the Cotswolds which, although beautiful is becoming more crowded and expensive recently. If I could choose anywhere in the UK to live, I would be looking further North: Peak District, Northumberland, North Yorkshire - those sorts of areas.

  • Thanks McFrost. We sometimes visit the Cotswolds for days out - it’s so pretty and the architecture is beautiful. I do get a vibe though of people living there being maybe very Conservative (with a big and small ‘c’) - and I wonder if we would fit in there really. It is very nice though - lovely rolling countryside. Peak District is lovely as you say, and the North is a bit more affordable. Do you like living in the Cotswolds?
