Just a random idea that popped into my head, but I remembered about fidget spinners and how they were designed to help with nuerodiveregents and it got me thinking that maybe there are other toys that are like that. I have a couple of things that I grew up with that I feel fit the bill.
Beyblades. They spin, and of course, spinning to us autistics is something that we've always had an affinity for.
Transformers. I had a couple of these growing up, unfortunately one of them broke, but I still have a couple smaller ones from 2007, but what I always loved about them was the puzzle aspect of transforming them from vehicle to robot mode and vice versa.
Slinkys. They're just an amazing fiddle toy, and watching them go down stairs is quite a spectacle.
Rubix cubes. An engaging puzzle toy, never learned how to solve one because I never owned one.
Bead coasters. Something that has good stim appeal that really helped me growing up.
Would love to hear other people's ideas and experiences!
