Have a hard time deciphering people's interests

Everybody I talk to, it seems I can never find anyone with the same interests as me.

It might be because the stuff I'm into is very niche, but it makes me feel lonely and almost frustrated. Furthermore, when I find out what they're in to, I always seem to think it looks really dumb and superficial. It's always been this way for me. Whenever I see what's considered popular these days, it makes me roll my eyes, because it's always either super basic, super edgy or sexualised, and I've never seen the full appeal of those kinds of things

  • I would never normally read comics but had a look at yours - it is clear you are talented so  I'm surprised you can't find others to relate to, in this vast genre. Try to think of interests in the broader sense; as knowledge, talent and skill, even if you don't  like what others are doing. That way, perhaps you won't over-criticise and in turn feel criticised. You make a lot of contributions on this forum, which are clearly valued - take heart from that.
