You said a couple of posts ago that there are volunteers to cheer you on?

There’s no crowds there to cheer on 

No, now I know what it is, I won't be attending, its too far away.

I'm glad others enjoy this sort of thing, but it's my idea of hell, being a thrawn sort of person I'd probably feel patronised by being cheered and given a medal.

How do other autistic people cope with the crowds that this sort of even would attact? I sounds like the right conditions for an instant melt down for me?

Last year we went it was brilliant loads of families doing the walk 5k of Battersea park, around three loops of a route and a winners medal at the end it’s £20 per adult children under 18 go free. It’s set up by national autistic society and all funds go to help autistic families. Volunteers cheer you on and it’s a really nice day out.
