The Octopus in My House is an interesting docu about a marine biologist who had a large tank in his living room, to observe an octopus,

Wow! I didn't know AI had favourites. Noticable she didn't say humans!
Yes, I can understand that. Apparently these creatives live only about a year. I can't help wondering, as they say octopuses are highly intelligent, if it has a sense of loneliness. It might be antropomorphic, but seeing it reaching out to the girl was so poignant. Nevertheless it is fascinating and the scientist has good reasons for his study.
I think this has been on Netflix for a while now I did start to watch it but it made me feel so sad, I don’t know why but it stopped me watching.
I've seen that, it's amazing, they are such intelligent creatures, and the fact their brain is spilt between the crown and each tentacle. It's awful that people fish them and treat them with cruelty like boiling them alive, when they are so sensitive. There was talk of octopus farms in this country where they would just electrocute the pools to kill them all easily and cheaply, nothing to do if it was humane or not.
The kids were watching CrunchLabs with Mark Rober, and engineer, and he had one, but they found out that the pet trade just pulled them from the sea, so he rehabilitated it to feed itself with engineered puzzles and released it back to the spot they pulled it from. He said octopus are the closest thing to aliens on earth as they evolved intelligence independently from most animal anatomy.
I had a book on them and how their biology and nervous system is quite different. It wasn't as much info as I'd hoped for, but it was still quite interesting. They evolved a long time ago and have been on a different path for a long time.
If you ask Alexa what her favourite animal is - she says this
