Newbie

Hi

In the last 3 months I've been diagnosed with both autism & adhd..Talking therapies has helped but their looking to transfer to neurodiversity..They advised to speak to adults similar & get some feedback on their experiences & maybe any advice to help..Obviously I know we're all different but it's been mind blowing to be diagnosed with both in such short time..To be diagnosed though was a relief & to me,it's started a jigsaw which I've started to piece together has a lot of my actions now make sense looking back..

This is my first post & a pleasure to be part of this society.

Mark.

  • Welcome to our community,  , and I hope you soon feel settled here. Lots of us, each with our own strengths and challenges, and we share our lived experience to support and encourage each other. Have a good rummage around and you'll get a sense of it.

I am also an AuDHDer, diagnosed with both last year. I agree that diagnosis is validating and starts a jigsaw-like process of reappraisal. You may later encounter a whole set of emotions and reactions - this is common.

The NAS has good resources and we are here too to help guide you! Lovely to have you join us.
