How negative things sometimes become a good thing

I intended to prop up my shed by today, which is leaning thanks to land slip. This job involves getting muddy and lifting concrete blocks. But as it iturned out windy and raining, I baked scones for Easter instead and spent most of the day in bed, reading. Also, I decided to email a male friend for help - something I don't usually like doing.

How have you turned potentially negative circumstances around?

  • It sounds like a good idea to request help even though you would ordinarily prefer not.

How have you turned potentially negative circumstances around?

If bad weather scuppers my plans for gardening I would probably clean the house.

If the plans have were for something like an appointment or a meeting, it would probably unsettle me so I might go for a walk with the dogs. If it’s something really negative, I mightn’t be able to turn it round to something positive for hours or days.

  • Baking scones and reading sounds like a lovely cosy day!

Sort of unrelated, but I was talking to some friends recently about how the year of the snake was about shedding things. They both said that they had indeed both put up a shed last year! I now think of this and laugh every time someone mentions a shed.

Today I got stuck behind a big, slow lorry, which was initially frustrating, but it actually was nice to slow down a bit. I knew I had plenty of time to get to work, and I ended up seeing lots of spring wildlife and people out walking, which I otherwise wouldn't have seen.
