When we moan how hard life is, how restricted we feel, how misunderstood we are, this is a sure-fire antidote. Please watch and pass to your friends.. 'Mr Nobody Against Putin' is nominated for an Oscar; a documentary by a brave Russian videographer who risked his freedom to publish what's going on in Russian schools. It's easy for forget, we live in a free country where you can freely voice opinions without fear of arrest [or death], express yourself even if it feels scary]. We have no screaming bombs, no night raids, no tsunamis, no live volcanoes, no dictatorship penetrating every freedom in life.
I wish I was brave like Pavel Talankin, but I'm not. I wish I could change things, but I can't. I wish I could donate money, but I haven't means. All I can do is donate a widow's mite, hoping it might bring a bit of hope, that someone knows; someone, somewhere cares. That sums it up. None of us can stop wars, prevent people being injured, heal wounds or eradicate evil - but what we can do is shine a small light, keep hope alive - and, like the night sky, all the small pinpricks add up to a lot of light .
