3 Good Things - Round 4

Since the third thread of gratitudes is redacted, I'll create a new one;

1. Managed to get a Sunday Lunch, at a local Spar, while supplies were available.

2. Got Manure, off my Mechanic, for growing Spuds; at his Stable.

3. Listened to a Podcast Interview of a Man who talked about Sticks used in Ireland; back in the days.

  • 1. First week off meds, after 18 months of daily meds;

    2. Those that were kind and helped me through;

    3. Having a cuppa.

  • I got 9 books (3 children's for my kid and some young adult ones for me a si like the easier pace sometimes) £3.30 for all 9

  • 1. Washed and vacuumed my car before 'taxi' duty later this evening. New wheel cleaning stuff is powerful! My vacuum is a 'cat and dog' version and good at removing terrier hair from the carpets.

    2. Good walk this morning, including a church detour as suggested by my terrier (he literally ushers me into the church and just chills out whilst I pray, then we walk around the churchyard).

    3. Coffee (latte) and cake-ish (Bakewell tart) at the lovely new shop in a nearby village, where the owner has an older dog of my terrier's breed.

  • 1. When I'm low, I hear my grandpa's voice, and it helps me to stay calm.

    2. The clear sky.

    3. The lit fire.

    1. Built the mainframe and wheel holder of my racing stand (had to ignore the instructions and figure it out by logic)
    2. Got a few miku and jujutsu kaisen things
    3. Tried chopstix for the first time and not only was the food lovely but the ambiance was so relaxing with confirtsblr seats good dimmish lighting and was far enough away from the door and counter and unlikeothee fast food places no beeps and bops or über eats drivers making noise but 9.99 for noodles Chinese chicken salt and pepper chicken salt and pepper chips and spring rolls and a Pepsi Max is fantastic compared to £13 in subway for a sandwhich crisps a cookie and a cola
  • When I get started cleaning that adhd hyper focus kicks in to the point I cause my self burnout by doing too much at once like one time I cleared 3 rooms worth of clutter and made it super organised and did the dusting ans did it in less than an hour but I was btint out all day after that

  • It's hard to believe this is still happening. It seems like the Stone Age.

  • Got somewhat obsessed cleaning windows, to the point of hurting myself, but they do look good.

    I understand that entirely! You go outside and clean the panes, then when you've cleaned the insides you realize there are still smears on the outside panes. After many trips inside and out in an attempt to rectify, you finally fall exhausted on the sofa - whereupon, I open a bottle of wine by way of relief. I haven't found anything that cleans a pane on the first attempt.

  • 1. Freed and Repurposed an old computer (~2012): new OS (Lubuntu), used to watch the fireplace using a LAN stream via VLC. (Though at times the connection drops due to the distance).

    2. Got somewhat obsessed cleaning windows, to the point of hurting myself, but they do look good.

    3. Remote fireplace watch (from upstairs).

    This is my laptop screen, through the terminal, the live fire :-)

  • 1. Got a cab, for the Chemist; to collect my repeat prescription of blood pressure meds.

    2. Also got lunch out, at the same village, from the Spar Hot Food counter; dear, though.

    3. Must remind myself to run my car; while she's out of action.

  • Bought 2 young adult books in the charity shop for £1 each. Christmas books sorted. Plus 100% money goes to charity.

    Two my library books are arriving soon.

    Postman dropped a parcel in the front garden and I delivered it to the correct address. Opposite my house.

    This week getting people organised and contributing to things e.g saying something at a showroom.

  • Maybe since gay marriage was legalized?

    And then there are the places where being on the LGBTQ+ 'spectrum' is still illegal Cry

    www.humandignitytrust.org/.../

  • 1. The first day in a very long time where I have had a fuzzy feeling reading political news. Maybe since gay marriage was legalized? Wow, that was such a long time ago…

    2. Had a meeting yesterday with a director for a business close to home. She almost has me convinced to try my hand at RBT work. I know our Autistic community has mixed feelings about ABA therapy, but it sounds like this company has the right idea of how to do it (their mission is to get kids comfortable in school via positive reinforcement, not keep them out of school or traumatize them with negative reinforcement) and there’s definitely a need for it.

    3. Had a day off work yesterday with the family, which was nice. I also have a night to myself tonight!

    1. Managed to find and order a full racing sim rig including wheel pedals and gear box for my taxi game and bus game as well as some racing games I play
    2. Bills mostly all paid apart from 3 where the sites aren't working right now
    3. I've done a nice food budget for the week that includes having cheese toasties,hot dogs, corned beef, new potatoes Cornish past peas and gravy and chicken and chips as well as Mabie cheesy chips and beans
  • 1. Successful training sessions with terrier yesterday evening and this afternoon. His recall is improving and his stays (sit-stay and down-stay) are solid.

    2. Squeaky dining room door fixed with modest application of Three In One. Irritation removed!

    3. My wife bought me a lovely new orange beanie to replace a loved, but lost, mustard one.

  • Coping with aches and pains and the way our bodies seem to rebel as we age.  I'm glad I'm still fairly OK mentally.

    I would prefer to be mentally sound as I age, rather than have a decent mechanical body. With your mind intact, you can go anywhere you like.

  • 1. Carried out a new task at work, and also a few mistakes;

    2. Rocking on my chair, at the pace of The Gadfly, as am anxious about an online meeting;

    3. Had a good meal: couscous with yogurt-based sauce and salad with mustard dressing.

  • 1. Echocardiogram appointment, in a few hours' time, after I received a call, yesterday, about a cancellation.

    2. I'll be able to get the afternoon bus, to the town in question, as the appointment will be at 3:45.

    3. Much-needed sleep, last night, after only an hour, or so, on Sunday night.

  • 1.  My autistic friend collected 31 books on the subject of Christianity from the 3-400 I am looking for a place for on behalf of a friend whose late brother owned these.  I have also made contact with a Catholic church which hopefully might want quite a few.

    2.  It's sunny here which combined with autumn colour and properly chilly air is lovely.

    3.  Coping with aches and pains and the way our bodies seem to rebel as we age.  I'm glad I'm still fairly OK mentally.
