Stones in my shoes

Why does it always feel theres a small alp when it's only a small piece of grit? Yes I know there's lots of nerves in the feet, but it feel out of all proportion to the problem. I don't know why, but I always seem to end up with stones in my shoes or boots, the same as I always end up with mucky splashes up the backs of my legs when I wal in the rain.

  • Yeah, stones/pieces of grit in my shoes are a really bad sensory problem for me too, like the labels inside clothing that feel all.scratchy. I have a long standing joke with my husband that I'm like the princess in "The princess and the pea" story, where a pea is put under her mattress and she complains the next day that she couldn't sleep because of a lump in her bed!
