Back to the thankless tast of looking for wellies

I was really happy at xmas, I go some new wellies, now they've got a hole in them somewhere and I'm getting a wet foot. So now begins the thankless task of trying to find some more, hopefully that will last longer than 6 weeks. Amazon tries to give me anything but what I've asked for and many of the other sites are just as bad. There are times when I really despair and get depressed because something like getting some new wellingtons seems so unachievable.

  • Have you tried small, waterproof boots? I brought some from the local farm store and they were not cheap but worth every penny to stay dry when out walking. I have to buy boots with steel toecaps thanks to dyspraxia otherwise I would end up in A+E.

  • I have tried things like muck boots and they don't fit, I have weird shapped feet anyway. One of the problems is that many companies stop doing womens sizes at a size 6 or 7, then go onto mens sizes. Mens feet are either a totally different shape to womens feel, or footwear is made differently. I've been in the strange situation of having boots that are to short in length but are huge width ways
