Whats your favourite cake?

A good carrot cake (though when out there is a huge variation in the quality of carrot cake), chocolate cake, iced courgette and lemon cake. Blueberry muffin. Now I want some cake and I haven’t got any!

Homemade ginger cake.

Not sure on all the ingredients but it tasted soo good omg.

Boiled fruit cake with lots of glace cherries and an apple and brown sugar on top. It's the only cake I can make successfully. 

The apple is inside BTW not on top.

I think it's a pastry, but I agree they're scrumptious, at a camp site I stayed at in Bayeaux, a baker came every morning and one of the thingd he had were fresh pain au chocolat still warm from the oven.

Every birthday I get a massive, pizza-sized cookie instead of a cake. So I guess my favorite cake is chocolate chip cookie lol

i like chocolate cake also, but need to be careful of the sugar otherwise it gets to me

Oohh black forest gateau, I'm fond of one of those. I've made a black forest trifle too, with chocolate sponge cherry jam and jelly with plenty of cream on top.

I'm not a fan of things like pannetone, I know yeated cakes are very popular, but I find them a bit heavy and chewy. I don't think I've ever had red velvet cake, the colour puts me off.

Coffee and walnut cake I quite like, although I'm not a massive fan of butter cream.

I do make quite a bit of bread pudding when my sons around as its one of his favourites, my recipe comes from one of Keith Floyds books, I think it was his mums?

The other cake I like is a good ginger cake, I make one every year at xmas, I might get a slice if I'm lucky, it's another one that good hot with cream or icecream.
