Whats your favourite cake?

Mm, I love Pannetone and Stollen - any fruit cake with marzipan.

Yeah ive seen that on a tiktok. Its like a hollowed out round loaf filled with stew. Looks amazing and i want to try it

That's lovely, I love finding little things like that! 

One point I worked in Birmingham, and someone at work was leaving and everyone was going to lunch to say bye. He was polish so took us all to this polish restaurant and recommend this dish that was a bread hollowed out and filled with this a soup/stew. It was amazing, and lovely to get the chance for him to show us his culture. We live in such a cool world where we can eat food from so many different places now!

I dont know exactly what cheese it was that was used. But it was orange in colour

Im not sure about the Easter thing. I just remember being offered some by a jamaican lady that lived next to a family member. Its was unbelievably good

My Mum's making me one for my birthday later in the month, I do like a vicky sponge.

Fruit cake, but not with alcohol. Although I like chocolate and lemon my favourite has always been fruit cake. I always looked forward to Easter as I like the moist marzipan in the middle. 

I love them, so does the dog, so there's a bit of a competition! 

tbf its more like a spiced cake than carrot cake you cant taste them but it still counts as one of your five a day lol

I can't wait for the raspberries - lovely fresh, in jam or frozen for a winter treat.

I have baked a lot of cakes in my life, maybe one from a long time ago - chocolate mint marble cake, that was a good one. 

As there's just me though, I rarely bake now, unless for my neighbours. They like a raspberry loaf cake, with raspberries from my garden  

Chocolate fudge cake or  ganache. Just anything that fills your mouth with nothing but chocolately goodness

Sounds interesting! never come across courgette cake, but someone did tell me you could make *anything* out of it

Sounds lush! I don't mind marzipan, but I'm not a fan of icing, esepcially hard, royal icing.

At our wedding we had a three tier chocolate cake - the cake loaded with kirsch - we both agreed that that was the best way to go. My wife dislikes marzipan and I hate hard icing, and we are both fans of dark chocolate.
