Gamers, what titles are you looking forward to playing in 2026 that aren’t GTA 6?

I’ve got a few. Super Meat Boy 3D is one I’m hyped up for, as an enormous fan of the original game. Will I get to play it in 2026? Maybe, but I only buy physical games, so knowing my luck, I’ll have to wait for Limited Run Games to jump in.

Revident Evil 9 looks like it’s going to be another great Capcom game. Speaking of Capcom, Onimusha 5 is due to be released this year. I can’t wait to see what a modern day Onimusha game will even play like considering the first three games were all fixed camera angle. We also can’t ignore Pragmata for this reason.

Fatal Frame 2 is getting a new remake, and hopefully this one will be worthy of the name, unlike the Wii remake they made years ago.

I always love Ace Combat, and 7 was one of the best in the series, so hopefully 8 will be 7 again and then some.

I loved Returnal, and Saros looks like it’s going to have the same Housemarque magic.

Bloodstained The Scarlet Engagement is looking like a spiritual successor to Castlevania Portrait of Ruin, which isn’t one of my favourite Castlevanias, but the first Bloodstained was so good, I can hardly overlook the latest entry.

  • Yoshi and the mysterious book. With not as much time to play, I do enjoy a yoshi game, they always look lovely.

    I am also now intrigued by super meatboy 3d, I didn't know that was being made! (I had The Basement Collection, lots of early quirky games including the super meat boy prototype, meatboy).

    • I always loved the crayon look of Yoshi's Island, but cant remember playing it so much.
    • The intro song from Yoshi's Story on the N64 still plays in my head at any mention of Yoshi. I played that back in the day but don't think I finished it.
    • I loved the look of Woolly world and I have a green woolly Yoshi Amiibo -such a squidgey amiibo!
    • Craft world was a great game to play with the kids, as the easy mode even lets my youngest play and get past the sections. 

    Umm, is all of them an okay answer? What's your favourite? And what's your favourite colour of Yoshi!
