Kokedamas for plants

Hello everyone,

I wanted to ask whether anyone has experiences with making kokedamas.

I am a little nervous to start making one, because I am afraid I will get all caught up in it. I dont mind that really, but in the beginning of February people will come to my place and take out out old Windows and put in new ones. This is ging to be a big mess, so I am trying to move some stuff in places where they cant take any damage. But I cant take my mind of my flower project so by asking I feel like I am at least kind of working on it.

So before I get all covered in soil and moss, maybe you can prevent my from making some obvious mistakes.

I cant read big Tutorials or stuff, so short advice is very welcome!

Also feel free sending some pictures of your lovely plants!

  • I think you need to be careful where you put them so they dont dry out quickly. Thenpeobably you should pay attention to the plants. So I guess the plants should not need too much sunlight and probably also not to much water. So succulents are probably the best, maybe orchids if you manage to use the right soil mixture... i want to try it with some real living moss, not only this preserved stuff which looks Green for some time if moist.

So you can spray the kokedamas with water or give them a bath every now and then so the moss can soak up water.

But this is all theory, I might give an update here how they develop in the future.
