I had to take an awkward diversion, heading home from town this afternoon, due to the closure of BOTH main routes back; to replace electrical wiring. On the first detour road, I saw a huge field inundated with Solar Panels.

They are an eyesore and it is sad that they are taking up what large areas that could be used for trees or other vegetation that could help prevent floods, increase wildlife and contribute to clean air and reduce global warming. That said, solar panels reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and reduce pollutants in the atmosphere which are bad for our health and bad for wildlife. So I don’t know what is best. I agree with Marianne that industrial units are more of an eyesore.
