I don't know if a thread like this exists, i cant find one

This thread is for ASD/asp sufferers to write their poems, whther origional or not.

Those people who live with asp/ASD sufferes may also post here.

Here is mine

An origional Poem by me
The Journey:
Come with me on my journey for it is yours as well as mine
Come with me to the rock and rest, can't you see the beautiful view?
It is there for me and for you.
A glorious sight to behold, but you will have to be bold
No please don't, Don't act like such a pest just sit down and ret!
Fine, if thats the way it be, find your own way, you saden me!
But in my sadness i sit and see, the truth of it all, of you and me
I can see it in the sky, the stars and the planets and moons.

Oh why oh why did you have to leave so soon?

But i can see the truth of it all, for this journey it is yours as well as mine
Go on, find your own way, we both shall be fine, we will see each other a short way down the road.
Think of all the lessons that we now have learned,
But don't you understand, i didn't get my fingers burned
For i can see the truth of it all, of you and me
For we are one now, we are free
For i am you and you are me
This is our truth
Cant you see?
(i wrote this years ago about the death of my cousin , back in 2004... i was so upset wen the computer i wrote it  on died i thought it was lost forever... But one thing i will say to my aspergers and ASD is... THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR THE PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY!!! i only remembered it this morning)

    Also I find your anecdote about remembering your peom encouraging as I lost work I was proud of in similar circumstances. Hopefully it will eventually bubble up again as yours did.

  • I have just tonight watched a programme about the history of game shows on ITV.
    Towards the end there was a piece about 'The Chase' (ITV) and Anne Hegerty (who is a chaser) on the show said that when she applied to go on the show, she felt that she had a wealth of Knowledge that would help her. She started on that show in 2003.
    In 2004 she was diagnosed with Aspergers, and she said that she always thought she had a memory for obscure facts.
    I sometimes feel like this also, being someone who has just recently (within the last 2 years) been diagnosed with Aspergers.
    Does anyone else here agree with me?
    Did anybody else see it?

    Thank you for sharing this poem, it was a pleasure to read.

    I think it is good idea to start a discussion board for poems. I hope more people will add to this. I will consider adding one of my own.
