To iron or not to iron - that is the question

I used to iron far more when I was younger. I sometimes feel guilty because I rarely iron bedclothes - I don't know why as I'm the only one in the house! I usually iron tops and trousers but not household linens. A friend used to iron her underwear and even shoe laces! What do you think? Is it lazy not to, or is it foolish to worry about something so trivial? Does this represent dignity or wasting valuable life-time?

  • I've not ironed anything for years.

I used to iron shirts and trousers when things were formal and people wore suits. But these days I have less formal clothes and they are just hung up to dry. It is not perfect but good enough.

I've never ironed bedclothes or other items. It takes time for no benefit
