Ban on Fox hunting.

So the Labour party wants to ban fox hunting. I love foxes myself, they are so cute and there bark is amazing, I loved Basel Brush too. I couldn't harm a fox like they do in hunting. And I was really upset when two foxes have been murdered by cars near my parents house over the past 4 years.

  • Fox hunting is illegal in England, Scotland and Wales, but not in N. Ireland or Ireland. 

    My father used to hunt regularly with fox hounds and harriers but no matter what arguments he made for the ‘sport’, I could never support the cruelty and suffering inflicted on foxes and hares. 

    It is wrong to inflict needless pain and suffering on animals for the sake of entertainment. 

  • I think it's trail hunting that's been banned now as hunting with hounds was made illegal years ago, trail hunting was a chemical lure laid out for dogs to follow along with mounted humans. Foxes were killed by theses hounds and huntsmen, as most likely were other animals. 

    I don't see any excuse for it personally, all these people who go on about people not understanding the countryside are a small minority of people who live in rural areas, who have never appreciated having hunts galloping over their lands and through their fields regardless of what the fields being used for.

    I think Oscar Wilde put it best, The unspeakable in pursuit of the inedible'. 

  • Anyone that loves to go out and kill other animals for fun/sport has a place in hell in my book. 

  • Fox hunting was thankfully banned in the UK in 2004.

    I loathe blood sports but that one was particularly cruel.
