  • To "mention" someone, type @ followed by the start of the forum name, and choose from the list; that person will get a notification of being mentioned

Statement for school

Hi I am in the process of getting my son statemented for school.  I received my first draft recently and they have said they will update it towards end of nursery school year.  I thought that he would be statemented for nursery too.  Has anyone any advice on this?

  • Hi, as soon as the statemnet is finalised it should then be in place. Check with the local SEN officer to double check this and it will then be reviewed annually. Please read and re-read the document carefully as you will find parts tat say things like 'we may do this' you want it to read that they will do whatever and not 'may'.
