What's your favourite, cheapest home-made meal?

In these economically tight times.... Mine is 1/2 tin of Tesco Stockwell beans [28p a tin] + 1 slice of Tesco white toastie [0.75p loaf] = 14p + 5p = 19p.

Sometimes I push the boat out and eat 2 slices Joy.

    Sainsbury's similar from Thursday 18 December in the store at 15p (need a Nectar card).

    Other main supermarkets are likely ro have similar vegetable offers from around the same time too.
