What's your favourite, cheapest home-made meal?

A sort of pseudo-pizza I make. Toast a bagel, butter it, spread tomato puree on it, then some tinned anchovies and sliced green olives, a bit of grated cheese on top. A minute or so under the grill, voila! I also use up any left-over Bolognese sauce, by having it on a toasted bagel, either open on a plate or as a sandwich.

That’s sounds wonderful. Sadly I can’t eat tomato but that’s a great idea. I really like a toasted bagel with Brie on toasted under the grill and then a drizzle of honey on the top.
