To any gamers out there - what's the hardest game you've played/beaten?

Honestly, this is a tough one for me because there's so many ways a game can be hard. I think it's either both Devil May Cry or Devil May Cry 3 on Dante Must Die mode, or MegaMan X6 or any of the MegaMan Zero titles.

I think I should also mention Five Nights At Freddy's games, not because the actual difficulty is an obstacle, but rather they're just so scary that picking up and playing them is difficult lol!

  • Ahh I must admit I only really play the family friendly games. I will say that Simpsons hit and run was hard when I was little though, especially when going for 100%, had to retry those missions I had skipped and you can’t even skip the last 3 missions which were so stressful at the time. So it was an achievement just completing the game in general.

Again, going on a 100% basis, Mario odyssey was hard in that respect. I mean that jump rope challenge I have to use a glitch and cheat for that (highest count was like 70 though) and I also struggle with the sinking colossal ruins and Yoshi on the sinking island power moons but I manage to get them. The worst power moon for me was breakdown road final challenge. You have to hop from one block to another with perfect long jumps, if you miss the jump, you lose ten coins and retry. Took me over 30 attempts but when I went back on another play through it took me like five lol!

  • The 3D Marios are always hard to 100% lol ESPECIALLY Sunshine!! (that leaf boat segment is the bane of my existence!)

  • I have Mario sunshine for the switch! It is very fun but omg all I see are the words TOO BAD every so often Joy I haven’t even done that many bosses. The last one I remember was a giant piranha plant covered in paint. I also remember having to chase a silver like Mario with a giant paint brush. Been a while since I played.

  • Hmm maybe so, saying that you do see yoshis in the mushroom kingdom. Mario odyssey has Yoshi on the castles roof, similar to n64 but who knows, they could be traveller yoshis hehe! Or a spirit of yoshis lol

  • I dunno, I think Yoshis were once a species that were all over the Mario universe but some died out in places (I.E. the Mushroom Kingdom, Isle Delphino etc.) but some lived on in some places too (Yoshi's Island, Donut Planes etc.) much like irl creatures that may have lived a long time ago and went extinct in certain places. Never thought I'd be going deep into Mario lore here, haha!

  • Well That makes sense with the yoshis if they are paint. Surely the yoshis on Isle Delphino before the game had escaped maybe. I mean yoshis are still existing so I guess they probably went back and carried on with life on their island maybe. Who knows.

I’ve noticed on galaxy 2 if you fall out of bounds or touch lava or poison, Mario either dies or takes damage but Yoshi just teleports to one of the many nests in the game. But on odyssey he just has particular spots to spawn in and again gets teleported back there if Mario takes damage. Annoyingly though he won’t respawn on sinking island until you have taken too much damage thus drained your life bars or you managed to somehow get to the top of the island, either way the sinking island has to reset to its “unsunken” state in order to get yoshi again which is a pain for that area

  • Yeah, at some point Yoshi eggs start to appear and you have to bring them fruit to hatch them. Apparently the reason why he vanishes when he touches water is because they're not real Yoshis, but are actually made of paint and the real Yoshis on Isle Delphino died out before the events of the game

  • Wait? Yoshi is in the game? But he vanishes when he touches water? Come on Yoshi! Saying that when doing the sinking island room on odyssey, if yoshi touches the lava he disappears in a puff of smoke and Mario is left to bounce on the lava until his health bar reaches 0! This even happens in assist mode. I don’t think I’ve ever done the sinking island in one attempt lol!

  • Oh, yeah, Shadow Mario. He can be tricky.

I managed to get all the Shine Sprites, but it wasn't easy! Would've been a lot easier if Yoshi didn't dissolve every time he hits water!
