Bus driver being a pain

Lets start with last year

Me: stands at the corner (the bus stop is at a giveaway area) flags driver down

Driver: *ignored me and drives past* (This is a bus stop as I've always been picked up here)

FYI this basically happens whenever he's driving

Later that day

Me: *Rings Dilwyns coaches* (honestly if they don't give a damn, why should I even bother using something else to avoid mentioning?)

Them: "well investigate"

Next time:

Driver: *pulls the middle finger as he goes round the corner and drives on*

When I get to college after walking down the mountain (Not safe rlly as no pavement & blind corners + no line in centre) and catching another bus to college

Me: *goes to learner services so they can contact the company or council*

Them:*contacts council then eventually tells me he can't stop there*

I start to catch it further down the road

Driver: *slows the bus down, opens the doors (he's moving insanely slow, so I can't get on) and starts hurling every insult at me (inc SO* one and other insults - SO* gets to me as to me he's not indulting me, but my mother, so this insult is the onky one that angers me), soon he closes the doors and drives off

Me: updates the college

I soon go back and they say council can't be bothered or whatever, so I gove up

1st Tues of Nov'

I get on the bus from the college (in diff site as I'm doing a program)

Me: *stands up as usual because it's public transport and legally allowed to stand*

Driver: *emergency brakes for no reason*

Me: *not mentally there as Im so shocked*

Me: driver, what was that for

Driver: *puts the middle finger at his ear - I don't understand what he's telling me, but I give up as he's being Rude

Bus is almost home

Passenger 1: *Stomps on my toe*

Me: does nothing but looks down, gets off and thinks what can I legally do next time??

Tne next day, same driver, I start panicking unsure of if he'll drive safely

Where almost home, nothing happened whew, suddenly:

Passenger 1: *Stomps on my foot*

Me:*gives a small kick to get him of my foot, very small one, (Im NV in uncomfy situations)*

Passenger 1: *roundhouse kicks me in the genitals, causing me immense pain in the penis, I push him back in S-D*

Driver: boots ME, yes MEthe victim of assault off the bus

Me: sir, you are Not at a bus stop, you not supposed to stop here.

Him: *pulls out his phone and threatens to call his manager

Me: can't be bothered to get I to a stand off as Im close to home, so gets off and the assaulter stays on the bus... WTF???*

Last Tues

Corp Manager: speaks to someone whilst looking at me

Me: constantly breaks eye contact and looks at arm (if I ask if he's talking to me, I think I'm being rude)

Him: continues talking

We arrive at the 1st stop to pick people up

Him: *continues talking and even tho everybody is off/on, we're stuck for 10m yes 10m,

Passenger 2 (F): places 2 hands on my torso

My brain: ring the alarms, danger danger danger.... What is she doing what is she doing g??? (Internally screaming)

My Body: *Breathing quickens, BPM goes insanly fast, air ways start to shut, I almost black out (My sight goes black ams all I hear is a beeeeeeep in my ear, my eyes roll up and to the back off my sockets

Soon she lets go (if M, Id've pushed him, but as she's F, I can't push or it could be deemed as SA)

Manager? Does nothing, even tho it's clear that Im in a meltdown/Panic attack

The following day, same driver, a go anxious again

But guess what?? I'm banned.... Yes, the VICTIM of 3 counts assault is banned, and the driver keeps his job... How is that legal & fair & logical??

Oh,that morning, I walk up to a bobby car (I have trauma with the police due to what I underwent with another force) and state "I have been assaulted on the bus - public transport

That afternnon, I flag down a bobby van and ask if they can instead do the thing at the station over at my address as I live with parents (havent told my parents as my situation sounds so stupid to me, so dount they'd take my said - Im 19) and tell 'em the above situation, awaiting for them to call me up to the station, I have said they are refusing me service & I'm ln their vulnerable people list (parents panicked when I returned home late earlier this year (I was 18 at the time FYI)) and potentially autistic (meeting someone from NWIAS nect Thursday & they are aware of the meeting

Edit: I wanted to use foul language, but as Im unsure of the policy on language, I've done my best to keep it SFW

Was the "stomp" a clear attack or could it have been an accident? I know it can be hard to balance on a bus that is slowing down and moving to the side of the road.

Your response is most likely considered the assault I'm afraid. An unprovoked response to an accident (unless the guy lunged at you when you were well out of his way) would put you squarely in the wrong and his response of incapacitating you considered self defence (since your attack on him was intentional).

Manager? Does nothing, even tho it's clear that Im in a meltdown/Panic attack

This is a tricky one as I doubt there is any mandatory training for them to identify what a meltdown is so there could be a genuine lack of them seeing your response and considering it a neurotypical one - eg that you were faking it.

I don't really understand what was happening in the last scenario - who put their hands on you, why and why was the bus stuck for so long?

Have you considered getting something like a moped to remove your reliance on the bus service? It offers a lot more freedom and you will learn how to drive and maybe some maintenance skills which are all great to have.

Just thinking of a way forward here.

Good call on not using bad language - the moderators are a bit strict about this.

In general I recognise this sort of accumulation of situations leading to problems - I had a lot of it in my teenage years which was largely driven by my lack of knowledge of social interaction skills.

  • Was the "stomp" a clear attack or could it have been an accident

Defo an assault as he wasn't standing on the bus - Im the only one who stands on the bus, and the bell hadnt been rung (I know as the "bus stopping" sign wasn't red/visible

balance on a bus that is slowing down and moving to the side of the road.

The bus hadn't maneuvered, as it was a long straight road and he wasn't going more than 30 due to the road layout so no, there was no inertia involved should he have been standing,

response is most likely considered the assault I'm afraid

I'll update this part when I meet the officers if they can get the CCTV, and as this was defo intentional, (if it was accidental, I wouldn't have felt it also, but this defo felt like he assaulted me because for a while after, my toes where killing me)

And if it was accidental, he would've quickly realized, right? But he kept standing on my foot on both days for about 1m before I responded, and the day prior, he was standing on it for 5m

But again, only CCTV can prove whom was in the wrong

Give or take with the time.

who put their hands on you, why and why was the bus stuck for so long?

Djd I not say a female passenger?? I'm sure I did. That's what I've tried to figure out, but the manager on the phone said it was becuase I was standing... That excuse makes no sense because I was still standing after he moved on

Have you considered getting something like a moped to remove your reliance on the bus service? It offers a lot more freedom and you will learn how to drive and maybe some maintenance skills which are all great to have

I'm waiting to start driving lessons

  • The CCTV is your best defence here although I would be prepared for some hassle in explaining your response of assaulting him with a kick rather than saying something (I realise you are non verbal in those situaitons so you will need to explain it to them) or pushing him off your foot.

Out of interest, when you stand, where abouts do you stand? If you were out of the way then the assaults would have to move quite a bit to stand on your toes and this will be clear on the camera. If you stand in the aisle then it will be harder to say it wasn't an accident.

I'm just trying to help in working through what will be asked of you next in the escallation of this so you can be ready for it.

  • Im sure I've told them of me being NV in uncomfy situations, but yh, already planned it.

I was at the front (Not blocking the door, and my position can't be an issue because the usual driver (this driver drives it M, Thur, Fri & Sat, then another service at bottom of mountain on Sun & BHs, so I'm standing near the hanging things)

However, I am concerned the cam may have been blocked by the manager, so the other will be behind me/further aback)

I'm keeping it as a civil report so I know should where I have been standing have been the root cause, I am told, whereas if I reported as a criminal matter, I could be charged - not a bobby, so completely unaware of how these are handled, and much easier to keep it civil.

May've missed the part where the manager was looking at me when he was talking to me, but I signalled he needs to tap my arm as I'm unsure if he's actually looking at me or just in my direction, after a few mins, I gave up of moving my head from him to arm as I realized he wasn't speaking to me
